34th Annual African Festival of the Arts Chicago Gala & Art Exhibition

Africa International House USA, Inc is excited and honored to present in association with our long-time community partner, Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, the 34th Annual African Festival of the Arts Kick-off Gala celebration on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 5:30pm - 9:00pm. This traditional annual gathering promises to be culturally rich and fun-filled!

The Gala is your opportunity to get an exclusive Festival preview and to meet and greet the sponsors, supporters, community partners, and those who organize this magnificent annual celebration of global Black culture held in Washington Park Labor Day Weekend. A highlight of the evening is the presentation of our 2023 Grand Yeye and Grand Baba - The Honorable Ambassador Carol Moseley Braun and Father Michael Phfleger pastor of St. Sabina Catholic Church in Chicago’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood.

The Gala also provides an opportunity for you to support Africa International House USA. Inc programs and expansion plans which will be announced during the Gala. The evening promises to be exquisitely delicious and energized with cuisine representative of the African diaspora and “jump-up” Afro Latin music by Greg Penn and CROSSWIND!
